    About Tigercat

    Tigercat X822D Feller Buncher

Brantford, Ontario, equipment manufacturer Tigercat started out making wheeled, drive-to-tree feller bunchers in 1992. The process began with exhaustive field research in the Southeastern United States and resulted in the Tigercat 726, a feller buncher that was more robust and reliable than the competition of the time. The immediate success of the 726 demonstrated Tigercat’s high regard for customer feedback and satisfaction. Today, Tigercat has more than 1,300 employees, 10 locations in Ontario, a parts and training facility in Georgia, and a parts, sales, and service location in Sweden.

    An Engineering Focus

To withstand the extreme challenges of full-time forestry duties, Tigercat machinery is engineered for top-notch structural integrity—made certain by Tigercat’s in-house fabricating, machining, and high-quality welding. Tigercat also controls the design and manufacture of key components, including axles, transfer cases, and pump drive gearboxes to provide long-lasting, high-performance parts.

    A Full Lineup

Tigercat’s current product line includes drive-to-tree feller bunchers (wheel), track feller bunchers, track processors, wheel harvesters, delimbers, skidders, trailer and track log loaders, track mulchers, loader forwarders, mulchers, and material handlers. The company also manufactures harvesting heads, felling heads, and mulching heads, as well as articulated off-highway trucks, prime movers, and utility vehicles.
